As a direct report to the Chief Experience Officer in the Enterprise Infrastructure Services Group, you will be responsible for developing and driving product vision, strategy, and execution. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the market, customer needs and the ability to formulate global strategies. Enterprise Experience Office is responsible for developing customer insights, priorities and driving these customer requirements into our Routing, Switching, Wireless, Digital Network Architecture, Security, DCN, IOT, Core Software and Solutions.

What You’ll Do
Drive interlocks with customer, sales, product management and engineering to create bi-directional and closed loop communications process
Anticipate and qualify customer pain points as opportunity for Cisco to solve jointly with our customers
Stay close to competitive landscape and how our competitors are messaging and what our customers are hearing
Create a structured approach for customer listening and a closed loop feedback process to drive product management priorities
Create new competitive product offers to drive growth and open new markets
Create customer metrics and insights by working closely with our market insights team and Chief Marketing Office
Segment our customers in a way that simplifies the solution and product selection process for our customers.
Pressure test product and solution roadmaps from the customer’s lens, examples include proactively identifying barriers to value realization for our customers in brownfield and greenfield opportunities. Create a gating process with engineering to insert customer validation check-points
Working closely with our customers to understand their problem statements
Develop conceptual and evolutionary/disruptive product plans that meet measurable benchmarks of customer satisfaction and will exceed customer expectations for flexible and exciting functionality. This includes developing business cases, identifying and assessing business opportunities and determining strategic fit conditioned by technical feasibility
Create programs to drive a customer adoption
Gather, validate, and evaluate product/market requirements through market and customer research, competitive and product research. Develop functional specifications for assigned product features to include effective product and user interface design, rapid prototyping, product validation testing, and usability testing, while ensuring that the product strategy is adhered to throughout the product life cycle
Develop and deliver materials to the appropriate marketing and sales organizations which convey the purpose and details of the product, definition of its user, benefits to the customer, customization capabilities, and competitive comparison
Work very closely with engineering leaders to drive disruptive innovation and development prioritization
Deliver presentations to both Cisco and customer executive-level clients and senior leadership to communicate direction, capabilities, and related updates
Works closely with business development on new partner models and technology strategies to enable Cisco’s goals
Drive training for the field organization and other key stakeholders (Channel Partners, Sales Support etc.) on products
