Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Director of Digital Sales & Marketing will be responsible for developing and fostering key relationships with the sales & marketing teams of worldwide digital and cable retailers. He/she will champion the Orchard’s growing slate of theatrical and digital releases, driving incremental revenue, merchandising and marketing opportunities and overall category management of the portfolio. He/she is a proactive, driven, process-oriented individual with a passion for movies, television and the growing digital landscape of entertainment.

Responsibilities:

Achieve budgeted P&L revenue goals through sales, merchandising, marketing programs & promotions across digital retailers, cable/ satellite providers, home video and airline/ hospitality.
Oversee monetization of Film & TV content through digital partners such as Amazon, Xbox, Playstation, Vudu and Cable/Satellite partners and aggregators, with an ability to adapt to a constantly changing landscape.
Maintain a positive partner relationship with retail accounts, strategize to optimize performance and cultivate a working knowledge of priorities, trends, back-end and user interfaces.
Provide insight and strong recommendations for the sales team
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
Fluency in time management, flexibility, ability to work under tight timelines. Creative problem solver.
Strong analytical skills including data analysis of promotions and past performance.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak effectively across all levels of business, both internally and externally as well as organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.
Passionate about film, with a deep knowledge of the landscape, players, business models and new emerging technologies.
Strong attention to detail, ability to establish effective relationships and be proactive in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in content sales & marketing with key EST/VOD retailers, home video distribution and airline/ hospitality preferred. A solid understanding of global video-on-demand, electronic-sell-through and subscription platforms.
Core experience: Digital distribution/sales/strategy, partner management, content programming, business development, and/or vendor management at a digital retailer or technology company.
Role-specific: Established success in executing meaningful marketing and sales initiatives and delivered quantifiable business value. Detailed knowledge of each retailer, how best to monetize content across each platform, drive significant merchandising, promotional and sales impressions.
