The Director of Operations will be responsible for working closely with the Vice President & General Manager of the Cloud Security Group (CSG) to manage the day-to-day senior operations, partnering with the leader to define, communicate and deliver the strategy of the Technology group. Combining alignment and development of the CSG strategy and portfolio, with day-to-day administration, problem solving and cross-functional engagement across the SBU and Cisco, this position will be instrumental in the execution of the CSG Strategy.

Who You Are
The ideal candidate should posses the ability to make recommendations, provide constructive feedback to and guide senior executives based on business acumen, alignment to and understanding of the strategic landscape, leveraging analytical skills as needed to create a business case, communication and respect. He/She should be able to effortlessly move from strategic thinking to managing tactical issues. This position requires the candidate to work extensively with CSG and SBU senior leadership team and partner with other Cisco functional organizations. A pro-active and aggressive approach to take on difficult issues and to uncover and address areas of weakness will be critical.
Our minimum requirements for this role:
• Supports and further enables the overall effectiveness for the SVP/GM of CSG
• Leads certain business initiatives across CSG and with other organizations: Finance, Marketing, Sales, Product
• Execute management processes (staff meetings, ops review, etc.) with a high degree of productivity, efficiency and scale
• Align efforts on goals and financial and performance metrics
• Leads business planning and portfolio analysis
• Partner with senior leadership team to align and execute the CSG vision
• Provide impartial analysis of CSG performance
• Ability to work with a senior leadership and management team
• Strong communication skills, active listener, ability to synthesize high level information
• Strong executive presence and proven ability to present strategic information to a broad range of audiences
• High degree of emotional maturity and seniority to represent the leader in executive level forums, meetings and engagements.
• Strong influencing skills. Proven ability to influence outside of the technology group and across roles and functions
• Program and product management skills/experience that led to successful execution
• Ability to apply structured problem solving (taking a large, complex problem and breaking it down into components, involve others as needed, drive resolution)
