Good-for-you products represent one of the fastest growing categories in the food and beverage industry. We operate from a position of strength in this segment globally, based on our strong brands and innovative products across Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade and Naked in the United States and abroad. Given some of the basic financial characteristics of the category there are significant opportunities to elevate the financial viability through a strategic productivity effort. S/he will be expected to understand the end-end juice category to identify potential efficiencies to deliver at least a $35MM productivity return in yr 1 with an accelerated target in the subsequent yrs.

Establish, coordinate, provide leadership for the Global Juice Productivity/Lean Six Sigma initiatives, including developing strategy, objectives, plans, project development/tracking, procedures focused on integrating Lean Six Sigma into our operations.
Lead/Coach ideation across the Juice Business (Geographies, functions) to identify productivity projects and develop a pipeline for the next 3-5 yrs. This includes leveraging VSM (Value Stream Mapping) ideation, Loss analysis and Brainstorming ideation. Work with different functions for ideation and project implementation. Interact with leadership (General managers, VP) in US and international markets to align on productivity/LSS strategy and to provide ongoing updates.
Maintain a productivity/LSS pipeline globally working across sectors. Establish/lead a Juice productivity/LSS Global community across all regions to accelerate replication of best practices for productivity/LSS approaches and for projects. Expand leverage of LSS to drive Juice productivity and other performance including: Lead expanded leverage of LSS in Make outside the US to achieve US level of maturity and performance (25-35% of AOP), Lead expanded leverage of LSS in Move globally to achieve 15% of Productivity and Double LSS contribution to Productivity through 2021.
Provide increased focus on Juice productivity in regions with low Juice business currently but with expanded future business. Assess productivity/LSS staffing and recommend level of resourcing to support Juice productivity (Juice and/or nutrition). This includes Black belt staffing in addition to Kaizen Leader/Green belt skills. Provide coaching to some of the LSS belts to drive capability and project execution. Establish/lead governance process for productivity/LSS in Juice business. Link into existing processes or establish new review processes. Present productivity/LSS updates to Juice/Nutrition leadership and recommend appropriate corrective action. Link into PSP, AOP processes to support productivity/LSS integration.

Qualifications:

10+ yrs exp in a variety of positions internally/externally-Sales, Mktg, GM, BA required (MBA strongly preferred). Lean Six Sigman Black Belt accreditation. CPG exp with specific exp in the juice category is valuable. Previous exp leading productivity in a function, business unit including cross functional ideation, project prioritization, project and pipeline mgmt functions that provide regular input into the end to end juice process. Highly analytical, motivated, decisive thought leader with excellent managerial skills;
Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine question, and influence multiple decision makers. Highly collaborative and demonstrated success building trust based relationships across different cultures. Prior experience (internally/externally) working in and defining the strategy agenda for a nutrition category or organization across geographies. Track record of taking calculated risks for the long-term benefit of the organization. Global acumen and curiosity to understand global macro-trends and potential impacts on nutrition category. Communication skills that is able to educate and influence mgmt and sr leaders to act in a desired manner through written/verbal communication;
Analytical and negotiating skills as evidence by high intelligence, strong financial and analytical capabilities and the proven ability to develop, sell and drive suitable partnerships, alliances, or other transactions to closure. Passion for nutrition and wellness categories demonstrated through prior work experience and/or personal aspirations and behaviors
Thinks strategically while being able to translate high level agenda into flawless execution. Operates efficiently and effectively in a matrixed environment and demonstrates effective collaboration across multiple layers. Shows a strong ability to influence and work through others with potentially conflicting agendas and priorities. Drives an open dialogue among team members and business leaders to help support the efforts to develop and move talent. Strong understanding of nutrition financials and challenges on a commodity driven category
