The enterprise architect primarily supports and assists in shaping Honeywell’s Global strategy / growth programs from information technology perspective with Engineering and product platform leaders to increase Honeywell’s market presence. Provide leading solutions to business and product engineering teams to improve the quality and efficiency of product design and services while maintaining appropriate enterprise security controls.

The overall scope includes defining and implementing an enterprise architecture (business capabilities, information architecture, application architecture, integration architecture, technical architecture) for the region in alignment with the corporate enterprise architecture strategy and standards. You will provide exceptional IT architecture blueprints and thought leadership to the region enabling growth and superior customer experience.

• Analyze the current technology portfolio to detect critical gaps and collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and development team architects to recommend solutions for improvement
• Analyze emerging technologies and make recommendations for adaptation. Implement a process-based approach to meeting organizational goals
• Build relationships with architects across the company and collaborate on promoting architectural best practices in the region
• Define the principles that guide technology decisions for the region
• Influence the development, communication and implementation of the enterprise architecture
• Define, develop, maintain, and communicate the technology and platform strategy and roadmap to all levels in the region
• Design solutions following the region roadmap incorporating technical, information management, and business architecture architectural tenets
• Build end-to-end solution plans that define the ideal and future state systems solution, scope of solution initiatives, solution delivery sequencing, assumptions, and risks
• Assist with the governance activities associated with ensuring Enterprise Architecture compliance
• Consult on solution architecture implementations and modification activities (projects), particularly for new and/or shared solutions
• Actively participate in technical fit review activities for strategic programs
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of technology and product standards, as well as the designing of standard configurations for Enterprise initiatives
• Facilitate the engagement with both Enterprise Architecture and solution architects within Enterprise IT
• Facilitate change and process improvement within the architecture community
• Strong facilitation skills to engage subject matter experts to define platform requirements and conduct detailed design reviews with project teams.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s Degree CIS, CET, CS or related field.
• 10+ years enterprise IT application experience that includes 4 years of hands-on software development, DevOps, and/or systems architecture
WE VALUE

• 1+ years of Cloud computing, e-commerce, and mobile development experience
• 2+ years of application integration experience
• Understanding of application, DevOps, servers, network, security, storage, and data warehouse/analytics
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Able to communicate design ideas by both words and pictures
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a larger team
• Thinks with a global, organizational mindset and is able to develop solutions to meet the varying needs of everyone, everywhere.
