The Director Finance for Technology based in Phoenix is responsible for partnering with the Technology leads to deliver against the financial and strategic objectives of this part of the business. The GBT Finance team, which this manager will be a part of, provides results analysis, planning & forecasting, and financial analysis for the business. The role will interact with global and regional Tech Business Partners, Market Lead Finance Officers, market general managers, other finance support groups, Controllership and Travel HQ to ensure that all deliverables are met.

Liaise with Finance, Controllership, & Technology to ensure results and forecasts are aligned with Business Strategy, compliance requirements, and proper accounting practices
Develop financial forecasts & plans that reflect current year revenue projections
Partner with key stakeholders in finance and the Technology business to ensure that monthly risks and opportunities to financial targets are identified & communicated timely
Have responsibility for providing relationship support to Functional VPs and/or members of the Executive Leadership team to ensure that there is complete understanding of financial results as well as provide accounting and finance guidance related to timing and value of revenue recognition
Ensure tight controls regarding support for monthly accruals and capitilization.
Provide monthly results and variance analysis
Evaluating current processes and continuously recommend process improvements and efficiencies
This position does have monthly financial close responsibilities
The position reports into the Vice President of Finance – FP&A and will have three direct reports
Qualifications:
Background in Finance and Technology with strong knowledge of accounting
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
7-10 years of experience in finance & accounting discipline
Experience with advanced Excel necessary. Strong PowerPoint skills a plus
A proven track record of Project Management of large global projects
Knowledge of Technology projects including outsourcing and insourcing
A self starter who is able to work independently
Proven ability to drive results
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data at a detailed level while also being able to keep an eye on the broader strategy/picture
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, to interact effectively all levels of the organization including senior leaders
Strong collaboration and influencing skills and experience working with more senior colleagues
Knowledge of travel economics not required but a plus
Experience and knowledge of understanding and reviewing contracts
Position will be based in Phoenix
