Reporting to the Vice President, Global Consumer Finance, the R&D Finance Director will provide strategic value and facilitate decision making related to new product development and will serve as strategic business partner to the Chief Science Officer and R&D function. The incumbent will develop robust financial planning and tracking capabilities to drive properly informed decisions, and proactive, accountable budgeting and forecasting processes.

Provide Financial guidance and Business Partnership to designated client business unit(s)
Serve as liaison to CSO, Global R&D Leadership team members, in-country controllers, and all cross functional business partners
Provide strategic insight to CSO and provide direct support and guidance to R&D Leadership to enable consistent approach and timely access to data to drive business decisions
Provide monthly P&L reporting of actual performance to CSO and individual department leads
Identify business risks/ opportunities and recommend corrective course of action
Serve as Finance lead on all global product development
Perform ongoing ROI analyses for respective business investments; Assist in decision making by vetting profitability/loss of each business commitment
Develop and maintain comprehensive, global budget and spend analysis to inform R&D of any deviation and suggest corrective action
Provide deep Financial expertise
Provide detailed financial analysis to drive consistent and transparent financial and business processes across business units, regions and brands
Coordinate with the broader Finance organization to ensure practices and processes related to R&D activities are aligned and support one-global view, and support the enterprise standards for reporting and forecasting
Work closely with cross functional business partners to monitor and analyze key financial and forecasting metrics
Take leadership role in monthly closings, forecasting and budgeting processes
Build and enhance the capability and capacity of the Finance Organization
Collaborate with peers to share best practices and process improvement ideas
Develop and implement enhancements to current procedures to promote increased accuracy, productivity, and controls

Skills & Knowledge Required:
Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting
Financial Reporting systems knowledge (Hyperion, HFM, SAP) preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Ability to collaborate effectively at all levels and functions
Detail oriented
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and juggle numerous projects simultaneously
Minimum Education Required:
BA/BS or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
Masters or MBA a plus
