Director Sourcing Development Accessories Under Armour Baltimore

Lead strategy and execution of all aspects of Accessories Soft Goods (Headwear, Bands, Gloves, and Miscellaneous Accessories) Operations to source and commercialize innovative and best-in-class product that maximizes customer satisfaction through consistent and World Class Quality representing the UA Universal Guarantee of Performance. This position will closely partner with cross functional leadership within the Accessories business unit (Regional Operations, Product, Design) to ensure business unit goals are met, as well as with peers in other business units (Apparel and Footwear) to ensure alignment with Under Armour core supply chain initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Leads creation and drives execution of Accessories short term and long term Strategic Supply Chain initiatives plans globally, inclusive of Sourcing, Development, Logistics / Distribution, Quality Control, and Manufacturing Excellence
Develops and leads a high-performing Sourcing and Technical Development Team across multiple product types
Optimizes UA Accessories product creation across all in-house manufactured categories and Licensees Ensures all new products are commercialized on time, at approved cost, and at approved quality level
Supports implementation of robust standards for fit, performance, and sustainability / compliance across all Accessories Soft Goods product categories and manufacturing partners
Facilities cross-functional communication and teamwork between Sourcing, Development, Production, Logistics, Product Management, Finance, as well as counterparts in other Under Armour divisions to ensure correlation and alignment. Drives best practices across division and across Regions with key counterparts
Partners with Director of Asia Operations on operational excellence initiatives for all aspects of Vendor-based operations, including On Time Delivery, Productivity, Manufacturing lead times, Service Level, Production Ready, etc.
Participates in evaluation, approval, and certification of new suppliers to support Accessories capacity or product growth requirements through creation of Regional Strategic Sourcing matrices


Technical Attributes of Ideal Candidate: include but are not limited to the following:
Bachelor’s degree required
Fluent in written and oral English
10+ years experience in Consumer Goods manufacturing and/or Supply Chain environment with 5 years in a Leadership position
Strong background in manufacturing processes, supply chain systems creation, sourcing, and product commercialization
Experience with Accessories Technical Design or Manufacturing strongly preferred
Familiarity with materials and manufacturing knowledge preferred inclusive of quality processes and systems
Demonstrated success in formulating and driving supply chain initiatives across organizations and countries
Demonstrated success managing multi-national teams and business partnerships both internally and externally

Ability to Travel – This position requires international travel 3-4 times per year or as needed to execute business objectives. International Travel can range from 1-3 weeks and takes place primarily in Asia Pacific. Domestic travel may take place for external training, trade shows, and or Vendor meetings.
Flexibility - Able to communicate and structure work in order to partner across multiple time zones with varying cultures
