The Treasure Truck team is looking for a Creative Director to elevate the Amazon brand as a whole by inspiring customer delight across the end-to-end Treasure Truck experience. We emphasize fun and are one of the few human touchpoints at Amazon. The Treasure Truck Creative Director is a unique position with influence on both physical and digital design.
You will lead and inspire a creative team on strategic brand development and world-class user experience across multiple online and offline channels. Can you develop a vision, work with your team to bring ideas to life, then iterate and refine them as you gather and factor in customer and business requirements? Treasure Truck launched in February, and we run at the speed of a start-up. While we presently operate only in Seattle, we want to scale the business with a cohesive brand strategy.

In addition to delighting customers, our single-product-at-a-time strategy on the truck offers a unique experience for vendors on Amazon. We want to showcase vendor products in the best possible light, so in addition to creating a brand strategy for Treasure Truck, you also will be creating a strategy to highlight our vendors’ brands.

The ideal candidate will have a deep portfolio that demonstrates creative excellence in bringing major brands and products to life. This role is for a highly capable creative leader who can direct internal and external creative resources and has the composure and communication talent to present effectively to senior executives.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, inspire and build a creative team of UX and VX designers and copywriters to deliver a cohesive and playful brand across multiple customer touch points, including app, truck, and uniform design, advertising placements, posters, flyers, banners, packaging, swag, and emails
Set the end-to-end brand vision, including creation of logo, tagline, tenets, and direction of all style guides
Establish and foster a culture that enables world-class creative and UX development and exudes fun across all customer touch points – online, in-app, and at the truck
Build cross-functional relationships with product, biz dev, and marketing teams to develop brand and marketing strategy and customer insights that drive compelling creative executions
Direct and manage the development of all creative assets for offers and marketing campaigns, including video, digital, social media, print, and merchandising
Lead creative development of innovative advertising, from concept to delivery
Develop ideas that will deploy across the Treasure Truck business
Own, develop and evangelize brand personality and purpose
Present design and branding strategy effectively to senior executives.


Basic Qualifications

7 - 10+ years of relevant professional experience driving compelling creative strategy and execution
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience managing a design team or a leadership role in a design environment
Brand development expertise
Strong UX, Visual and/or Marketing experience
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic technical considerations
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a world-class advertising agency or internal corporate agency
Unwavering dedication to craft from idea to execution
Strong bias for action in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
Deep understanding of digital and new media
Curiosity to dig into success metrics with an innate desire to understand key drivers
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results on creative projects
History of establishing effective creative development processes
Demonstrated business acumen, including experience budgeting and resourcing
Self-motivated team player with refined and assertive leadership skills
The ability to influence others to set and achieve goals and deadlines
Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business and user interaction priorities
Demonstrated experience managing creative processes through external agencies, internal teams and freelancers
Exceptional communication, collaboration and presentation skills
Knowledge of usability research
