The new Associate of BlackRock Equity Product Marketing will be joining the largest asset manager in the US. This individual will be responsible for creating clear, consistent and impactful messaging that uniquely positions and differentiates BlackRock equity mutual funds to financial advisors. This marketing leader will develop and oversee the execution of
Integrated product marketing plans, update sales and marketing collateral and web engagement communications, monitor business environment and suggest new ideas for improving business performance.

Key job responsibilities:
• Develop, own and implement key strategic messages for BlackRock equity mutual funds
• Work collaboratively to develop key messaging, training and support across sales and marketing for equity funds.
• Identify industry, advisor, client and behavioral trends and practices on which to create an innovative, relevant and impactful BlackRock experience for investors.
• Work collaboratively with Product Management, Portfolio Management, Sales, and Marketing to position new and existing products, generate and develop new ideas and strategic content, website and tool development, and advisor/individual investor educational and business support materials
• Work with Sales Management in developing relevant strategic themes and in driving the most effective delivery of BlackRock messaging and education by client audience (eg. wealth advisors--core wires, regional and independents and RIAs).


Skills and requirements:
• 3+ years minimum investment related experience
• BA/BS
• CIMA, CIMC, CFA a plus
• Background in brokerage, bank, investment manager or registered investment advisory firm
• Ability to understand and articulate complex investment concepts and strategies at multiple levels
• Ability to understand client/end client audience and help drive value proposition through the delivery of education, thought leadership, web and tool development, strategic content, advisor understanding and expertise
• Expertise in investment products, asset classes and/or practice management
• Sound knowledge of modern portfolio theory, index investing, asset allocation principles and fiduciary responsibility
• Able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment, drive forward key initiatives and manage workflow on simultaneous projects
• Creative and self-motivated individual who works collaboratively in a high performance, team environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent written, grammatical and editorial skills
• Strong team player
• Prior sales, marketing and/or client relationship experience with retail and/or institutional clients required
