In the role of Director, Global Dairy Insights, this person is the sr authority on all things that relate to the consumer in GNG's Global Dairy Corridor; targeting, demand space segmentation, demand-driven opportunities, and ultimately innovation development and portfolio strategy. This role involves driving strategy through Insights for global brand marketing programs including; portfolio strategy, innovation, packaging, and consumer engagement as well as working with individual markets to understand how to action against the insights in ways relevant for the market.

This role will be responsible for helping transform our global diary business via transformative innovation to address rapidly changing consumer demand in the nutrition industry. The role has accountability for leading insights to inform and guide both our global dairy strategy as well as the brand's growth innovation agenda across 10+ targeted markets over the next three years. The Director of Insights will lead the insights agenda to inform and influence the global strategy, communications and innovation plans to ensure the future growth of the Dairy portfolio. Further, they will serve as resource to senior leaders during the strategy planning process by delivering a thorough understanding of the consumer at a global level and emerging marketplace and nutrition trends (both U.S. and globally) form actionable, insights-based recommendations to guide critical business direction.
Accountabilities:
Drive Dairy growth and consistent portfolio strategy across the globe through continued Insight that resonates globally and translates into successful global innovation.
Support dairy corridor innovation and business development opportunities to help Global Dairy expand beyond existing platforms - leveraging create and test market efforts that emerge as global opportunities. Keep connected with innovation efforts across global markets with a focus on "lifting and shifting" for greater efficiency and speed to market.
Provide necessary Insight support for lift and adapt innovation to accelerate growth with common consumers and markets trends (30% of time) and support unique breakthrough innovation in key markets to support targeted consumer and / or market needs 70% of time)
Build strong, two-way relationships with insight leads in each region/market, ensuring a truly collaborative approach to developing insights and driving agenda through foundational insights, analytics & tracking. Partner closely with marketing and finance to ensure the integration of learnings into ongoing strategic & financial planning. Create direction and inspire trust within brand marketing team by consistently leveraging fact-based analysis to identify category & brand growth opportunities
Integrate learning across multiple sources into strategic thought leadership and actionable recommendations to influence business decisions.
Own the Dairy Corridor trends process and linkages into macro Nutrition trends efforts. Leverage macros and nutrition trends for the foundation in strategic planning and drive aligned global dairy trends perspective for the Global Dairy Brand team and key regions/markets. Link up with the broader G and NAN insights nutrition trends efforts to leverage and share learning.
Minimum Qualifications: (MUST-HAVE):
Minimum 8-10 yrs in a strategic insights role. Min Bachelor's Degree. Advanced Degree a plus. Proven collaboration abilities, strategic thinking/leadership skills
Worked in a cross-functional, matrixed org to champion and drive a consumer-driven agenda. Willingness to travel internationally 20%+
