The Consumer Goods Industry Solutions Lead, role is a senior level role for the Consumer Goods industry or sub-vertical within the Industry and requires individuals who have a strong point of view and strategy for the industry, understands key business challenges, gets the importance of engaging with the sales teams and customers. This role requires the ability to develop industry messaging, solutions, and customer presentations that demonstrate domain expertise.
This is a very hands-on leadership role developing the go to market strategy working closely with sales field, pre-sales, corporate and field marketing, cloud PM's and PMM's, CFL, and partners.

The role requires an individual with a proven track record in the above areas, given they will be representing Salesforce as the industry segment executive leader and will provide a unique opportunity to work across multiple businesses and functions within Salesforce to accelerate our growth to $15B+ in revenues.
This senior role provides overall guidance across all products within the industry. You must articulate the broad industry vision, solution roadmap, partner portfolio, and marketing plan to support field sales. You will network, recruit, mentor and manage the virtual team for the Consumer Goods industry.

Role Requirements :
1. Product Ambassador : Need to crisply deliver the industry and product message to customers and prospects in various forums. The ability to seamlessly transition from speaking to a room of executives, to industry events, to very large keynote presentations. The individual needs to be an outstanding communicator and to be able to operate at the high frequency of our industry team.
2. Trust of the Field : The Sales Leaders, AEs and SEs must trust that if an Industry Solution leader is included in a meeting or presentation that you will own the delivery of the industry message, own the industry product message, will be seen as a subject matter expert and will earn the trust of the customer. Simply put, the Sales organization must feel that the CG Industry lead adds value.
3. Sub-vertical Experience : The role requires 10-15 years of experience in the sub-vertical and 5+ years at a technology firm selling to sub-vertical firms. CG Industry lead must have a strong POV and be recognized as thought leader in the space to work with the field community to elevate solutions, demo's, and customer roadmaps for industry solutions.
4. Industry Messaging Leadership : Requires a hands on lead, setting the vision for SF within the Industry sub-vertical, engage others in the team with this vision, and develops the needs for a marketing plan for the sub-vertical product suite. Be comfortable with writing a POV, creating compelling visions of the future, building thought provoking presentations that the field can use for enablement and used in customer meetings. experience in writing white papers, blogs and overall thought pieces.
5. Building Product : CG Industry Solutions lead must have experience working with Product Management in building the sub-vertical product or solution suite. You need to be hands on with building use cases, story lines, understanding how the personas within the sub-vertical work and their needs for customer focused solutions and managing the client overall experience.
6. Leadership & Management : experience in building and leading a team of industry experts.
