Fandango seeks a creative, data-driven Director of Audience Development to play a key role in shaping and executing our content distribution strategy across a variety of platforms (web, mobile, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat). The ideal candidate is both socially and digitally savvy, has video production experience, and has a proven track record of success, creating metric-driven strategies that have built new audiences and driven engagement. • Drive audience traffic on a variety of distribution platforms, including owned and operated sites (web and mobile), content syndication, social, and strategic partnerships.
• Work cross-functionally with various departments such as Programming, Production, Operations, Talent, Marketing, Business Development, Business Intelligence, Legal, and Advertising Sales to fulfill goals.
• Manage a team of direct reports to assist in the execution of audience development strategies
• Partner with the Programming team in the development and implementation of content strategies to ensure traffic goals.
• Develop, test, and evaluate new content strategies that are specialized for each of our distribution platforms.
• Work with Production team on the optimization of content performance across all platforms.
• Manage departmental budgets.
• Regularly measure and report performance of all platforms and assess against goals. Make adjustments in execution as necessary
• Identify industry trends and insights that will help refine our strategy to grow our audience. Conduct competitive analyses and market research as needed.
• Lead best practices and guidelines for digital and social content for all brands.
Qualifications/Requirements • 7+ years of leadership experience with a background in digital media.
• Bachelor’s degree in media or related field.
• Prior experience successfully managing teams
• Advanced knowledge of audience reach and engagement methods and technologies.
• Ability to motivate and lead others in the development and execution of creative projects.
• Excellent analytical, creative, and communication skills.
• Possesses the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, with precise attention to detail.
• Demonstrated team player and collaborator in an environment that fosters creativity and a culture of open and honest communication.
