Facebook is hiring a Social Media Editor to help develop social media strategies and manage events that communicate Facebook's longterm technology priorities to a consumer audience. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting social media and communications efforts in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Excellent writing and logistics skills as well as keen attention to detail are a must.

This position is full-time and located in Menlo Park, California.

Responsibilities

Manage a team within the functional group
Work cross-functionally with Technology, Executive and Internal communications teams to support social media activities for Facebook leaders, teams and events
Identify potential social media opportunities and manage an ongoing calendar of opportunities across multiple teams
Help source, develop and write a wide range of communications materials including social media posts, one-pagers, informational content and event collateral
Work with internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners to develop a strategy for both social media and events that ladders up to top company priorities
Requirements

10+ years of experience in the media, journalism, communications or marketing industries
Prior experience planning and executing on projects, both autonomously and as part of a team
Experience working cross-functionally with all levels and departments of an organization
Experience managing creative and communications agencies and contractors
