As a product messaging manager, you will be the primary advocate responsible for educating & informing sales & customers about the story of our core Client Solutions. You will serve as a chief advocate for the feature set and its benefits, and be charged with crafting the strategy around the messaging and marketing for new launches, and articulating our value proposition by writing messaging as well as sales enablement and customer facing content.

- Product Messaging: Write impactful, breakthrough messaging informed by market data, customer insights, a clear understanding of the product benefits and the competitive landscape to educate internal and external stakeholders, Work directly with product group, global creative, sales, legal, partner organizations & other messaging teams to create product and solutions messaging for internal and external positioning, write messaging briefs to inform stakeholders such as internal and external agencies, adhere to a T minus schedule to deliver launch assets in a timely fashion, achieving approvals via established review process, take claims through legal approval process to enable usage in marcom/advertising, put messaging through message testing to ensure market validity & rigor
- Content Creation, review & maintenance: Create, deliver & maintain content that articulates our value proposition, with a standard Bill of materials & other assets as needed for product launches or to integrate within Client Solutions campaigns, managing event support for messaging guidance, content, and breakout sessions as needed, collaborate with dell.com teams to shape evolution of website to align with product portfolio and brand messaging as needed, collaborate closely with Client Solutions Product Group to ensure accurate & impactful content, regularly engage with other teams to ensure your owned assets are communicated via the appropriate channels l to ensure broad adoption of content created, as evidenced by utilization metrics such as downloads/views, consistently audit & maintain assets, collaborate & provide support for marcom, dell.com, event, and training teams to with messaging guidance, copy review for accuracy & correctness and talking points as-needed

- Content transformation, process optimization & standardization: Embrace “next-gen” marketing principles & ideas, with a focus on increasing marketing & sales enablement asset utilization by regional marketing, direct and channel sales, focus on impactful storytelling & messaging, asset simplification & consolidation, establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices. Operationalize and document sustainable, simplified processes over time. Ground decisions & measure progress via utilization KPI’s such as downloads, views
Qualifications
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in marketing or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of relevant experience in: messaging, content creation, product or digital marketing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – there is a heavy amount of writing, presenting/selling ideas, and storytelling in this role
- Prefer working in a cross-functional role, working with a large number of stakeholders at the center of interaction and coordination between teammates to bring our product messaging to life.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, experience with InDesign a plus, ability and interest in learning other tools such as SalesEdge, Clarizen, CMS, Tableau, etc.
- Comfortable establishing standard best practices for process and documenting for scalability
