QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a professional with deep knowledge in the Travel industry, and who is conformable working with Excel and PowerPoint.
A Bachelor degree (preferably in the finance field), is a nice to have, but rather of you holding a degree, we are more interested in your ability to show competency and excitement for the role.

The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and possess above average problem solving skills, analytical capabilities, exhibit energy and attitude, leverage effective oral and written English communications skills and a collaborative style.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

McKinsey Global Purchasing and Real Estate (GPRE) group is responsible for bringing value to and managing the Firm’s expenditures specifically related to Global Travel Services (GTS), Real Estate (RE), Meeting Planning Services (MPS), and Global Procurement Group (GPG).

Within McKinsey Global Purchasing and Real Estate team, our Business Analytics team is primarily responsible for reporting on McKinsey’s global indirect spend through spend rationalization; vendor consolidation and leverage of global footprint to positively impact the Firm’s financial at the office, region and global level.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

In a firm of 20 000 professionals, you can find colleagues flying up to 5-6 times per week, resulting in more than 1 million travel tickets per year. That is a lot of traveling! As a Senior Travel Analyst for the Purchasing team, you will be monitoring travel-related spend data for accuracy, consistency, policy adherence, and spend outliers. Your analytical and problem solving skills will help you to identify the appropriate data to evaluate travel spend, including existing needs and new areas for review.

In addition to that, you will provide strategic reporting, and look for opportunities for optimization, as well as ongoing trend analysis..
In this role you will be also synthesizing travel data, and providing insights, to Senior leadership. This data will be key for the success of projects and office strategic studies that look for travel solutions. Your deep understanding of the travel industry will be your weapon to amaze the firms’ Global Travel Services with insightful dashboards, reports and, data-driven insights, solutions and strategies to increase the saving opportunities in travel costs within the Firm.

This is a role where you will have the opportunity to become a trusted advisor in the within McKinsey’s Travel space, and work with the biggest travel partners in the world. In this role you can have an impact in optimizing the service and operations for both, McKinsey and the travel advisors with more influence on Earth.

In addition to that, you will be receive training on cutting edge data analysis tools such as Alteryx, and have the opportunity to be hands-on and learning about Tableau- one of the latest data visualization tools.
