The machine learning (ML) organization at Amazon is looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead an internal ML Education initiative.
The ML organization solves many of Amazon's most difficult and important problems, and in partnership with teams across Amazon, builds new services that surprise and delight customers. We have current and future projects in video recommendation, streaming data analysis, natural language processing, deep learning, bandit algorithms, computer security, social networks, and more. ML University is the name of an education initiative designed to share ML knowledge across Amazon via a university-level ML short courses.

Amazon is looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead this ML University program. That will include strategic thinking, planning and growing the program and will require strong hands-on execution skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and own the ML education program: Refine the program goals and strategy, structure the curriculum, set up courses, recruit instructors, and grow the program over time.
• Manage the current content and curriculum, identify areas for updates and improvement, in order to ensure content is employee -friendly, current and relevant. You will be supported by experienced university professors on these topics.
• Design and roll out a worldwide distribution plan to allow out-of-country Amazon employees to participate remotely using video conference technology. That will include exams, quizzes, programming projects, and/or homework.
• Formulate metrics. Design and implement measurement methods, such as surveys of students and managers.
• Budget planning for the entire program: instructors, classrooms, students’ time, video production
• Provide regular updates to leadership and content owners.

Basic Qualifications

BA degree
5 + years of project management success, working with multiple teams across organizations
Robust execution, collaboration and organizational skills amidst tight timelines
Strong formal and informal, written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

2 years in a role within an education program environment
Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, education, or business)
