Facebook is seeking a leader to manage the Business Support and Services team within the Sales Planning & Operations organization. The Sales Planning & Operations organization is the operational engine that scales Facebook’s advertising businesses, including a set of global shared services focused on scaling our digital supply chain with an emphasis on operational excellence, quality, and data/analytics.

This individual will assume leadership responsibilities in developing our talented team members around the world as well as driving cross-functional impact with our internal and external partners. Internal partners include the sales field teams that we directly support, sister operational teams, as well as product, marketing science, and other support teams that we align closely with. External partners include the clients that we support through the field, as well as our outsourcing vendors with a large core operational footprint globally.

They will have strong operational instincts, and demonstrated ability to create highly scalable and automated approaches. They will have led organizations and will be able to demonstrate a sustained ability to hire and develop talent. They will be strong communicators and collaborators, and be able to work successfully across teams and countries. This role is based in either Austin or Menlo Park and reports into the VP of Sales Planning & Operations.
Responsibilities
Set a vision for the ideal suite of support and services to best scale Facebook clients and the fields that support them around the world, solving for both global and local challenges and needs, as well as the diversity of advertising businesses across Facebook’s growing family of apps and services
Lead a global organization across 10+ sites in North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, establishing a strong organizational culture and providing mentorship, guidance and career development to members of the team
Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with sales leaders around the globe as well as product and engineering leads to identify and implement optimal solutions that are aligned with business priorities
Design, launch, and scale new advertising support services and workflows into the regional markets
Ensure quality, success and impact of existing scaled services and workflows within each market including insertion order advertising campaigns and scaled reporting and insights
Continuously simplify the interfaces and ways in which the field accesses support services, even as the overall portfolio grows across both businesses supported and workflows available
Identify trends and key insights to drive impact to team goals, including adoption and scaling of services, user experience impacts, bottom-line revenue impacts, and operational efficiency of the teams
Identify market needs and nuances upstream during service and workflow ideation stage and proactively share with other sister operational and product teams
Build empathy and passion for the advertiser experience through partnership with Product and Engineering
Requirements
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in an analytical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or similar
15+ years of experience in consulting, analytics, digital media or related industry
10+ years of management experience, ideally in roles involving sales, operations, ad operations, and customer service
Significant experience leading and developing high performing managers and organizations across complex global teams
Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment
Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product and Engineering leadership, advertisers, agencies and other advertising partners
Proven ability to make sound business decisions, including a track record of identifying gaps or business needs and developing high impact solutions
Deep understanding of the global advertising marketplace
Experience working with a wide range of global advertising markets is preferred
