Facebook is seeking an experienced sales and marketing leader with demonstrated success managing large business categories on a national and long-term scale. The Industry Manager will lead Facebook's monetization of several clients’ business within the Cable TV category in the Eastern US.
The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop scalable solutions for their clients and their teams. They will build and manage a small, strategically focused/consultative sales team, selling Facebook’s suite of advertising solutions to leading film studios and television networks. We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, successfully manage teams and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have management experience in a sales environment as well as extensive experience and understanding of brand building, brand marketing and brand-oriented advertising. Experience selling across multiple platforms (traditional, digital, mobile) highly preferred. This position will be based in our New York, NY office.
Responsibilities
Play the lead role in developing the holistic business across Entertainment based verticals prioritizing business opportunities for Facebook and our family of brands, including Instagram
Work cross-functionally with In-Market teams, Global Regions, Business Operations, Platform, Measurement/Metrics, and Product Marketing to optimize our client efforts
Consult with Product Marketing to help shape product development in support of client needs
Guide the creation of persuasive presentations and stories that demonstrate the value of Facebook to clients for both b2c and b2b marketing
Identify the winning strategies and scale the insights throughout the vertical
Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches
Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales and services for Facebook, including a good understanding of working with advertisers and agencies
Build, train and maintain a high performing team
Requirements
10+ years marketing and sales experience, 5+ years in digital media
3+ years team leadership experience leading cross-functional teams and people not directly reporting to you
Entertainment related (TV and Film) & Ad technology Industry sales experience is required
Experience driving revenue growth with emerging opportunities and established partnerships
Strong understanding of the technology and trends that are changing the advertising business
Comfortable in solving both performance based and branding objectives
Skilled storyteller with experience communicating the benefit of marketing opportunities to brands
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data in to client value
Ability to perform well in highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
Proven ability to forge relationships with top marketing decision makers at brands and agencies
Demonstrable success as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and systems
Avid Facebook & Instagram user and knowledge of the media landscape, reseller channels and vertical markets
