The SMB team at Facebook is one of two sales channels responsible for Facebook’s multi-billion dollar advertising business. Our team specifically manages more than 99% of Facebook’s 2.5M advertisers. And our potential business is even larger with more than 45M active SMB pages on Facebook. We’re just getting started.
Partners of all sizes, including full-service agencies and technology partners, play a key role in helping businesses find success on Facebook. This position is responsible for cultivating and growing a healthy ecosystem of agency partners – creating programs to enable and empower partners to get the best results for their clients. You will serve and lead a team of dozens of Partner Managers in fulfillment of Facebook’s mission. In addition to developing a high-performing team, this position will be responsible for working with other critical teams across Facebook to create and grow programs focused on improving the Facebook experience for our agencies and advertising partners.
Ideal candidates will have experience building and leading teams, an exceptional ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members, and a passion for growing revenue through rigorous account planning and consultative sales techniques. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for identifying process and workflow opportunities, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and execute the tactics. Success in this position requires a passion for helping others achieve results, a focus on client service, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position is full-time and located in our Austin, Texas office.
Responsibilities
Select, hire, train, and lead a high-performing team of Partner Manager leads and their teams
Provide mentorship, guidance and career development
Establish team goals and work with direct reports on strategies for executing, measuring progress and sharing results
Structure, help negotiate, and manage relationships with partners
Drive problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical and technical capabilities to enable scalable solutions for our partners
Monitor progress against goals and respond to changes in the market
Work cross-functionally within sales and other Facebook organizations to drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction
Identify opportunities to improve ad products and the customer experience
Drive overall operational efficiency across sales and business operations
Requirements
8+ years experience in online media sales, agency, online advertising and marketing experience. Agency or Channel Sales experience a plus
4+ years experience in building and leading teams
Demonstrated passion for leading, coaching and inspiring others to succeed
Excellent communication skills
Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and organized
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
Strong critical-thinking and creative problem-solving abilities
Exceptional ability to prioritize and focus on driving growth
Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups to drive meaningful results
BA/BS degree
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
