In the Director of FP&A – Sales role you will own Marketo’s sales and revenue groups of over 4,500 customers, and act as a finance partner to Marketo’s Revenue Executives, and the entire Customer Success and Sales organizations. You will manage the entirety of the bookings, revenue and expense lines for one Marketo’s biggest financial assets.
Responsibilities:

The Director of FP&A – Sales is a high visibility, strategic role with ownership of the largest profit center at Marketo. You will partner with the customer success and sales organizations and senior leadership in support of strategic financial analysis and insights into corporate financial performance; ensure financial and operating decisions are made on the basis of timely and accurate financial data; and, applying financial expertise to overall strategy and business direction.

Drive the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts for the Customer Success organization and improve the predictability of the business. Closely manage the headcount hiring plan, including understanding relationships to bookings, quota and commissions
Partner across Marketo with sales operations, accounting, and commissions to create and optimize important tasks including monthly and quarterly forecasting, month close reporting, and commissions for the Customer Success team.
Prepare formal presentations with recommendations and summaries of financial results and forecasted results to senior management. Collaborate with the business in preparing monthly and quarterly business reviews, including reporting of metrics and KPIs.
Develop and implement robust financial and deal models to streamline decision making and ensure financial objectives and thresholds such as contribution margins/discounting are well understood and influenced.
Recommend and develop policies, procedures and systems to meet Company objectives.
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required

Required Skills / Experience:

At least 8 years of experience in finance and accounting with emphasis on budgeting, forecasting, planning, financial analysis, and financial modeling with relevant work experience as an FP&A business partner supporting sales (or customer success in a SAAS company)
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and develop strategic recommendations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated collaboration and proactive consultation skills. Positive can-do attitude in approaching complex problems. Experience managing a team.
Ability to influence leadership through clear presentation and communication of complex data analysis.
Strong systems skills (Salesforce, Host Analytics, Intacct , or other comparable financial and ERP systems)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA desired but not required
