Corporate Development Analyst BlackRock New York City

The Analyst will drive the evaluation of current inorganic opportunities, participate in longer-term, strategic prioritization exercises and support the planning and execution of ongoing M&A integrations.
Conduct strategic and financial analysis of inorganic opportunities across the asset management and financial technology industries:

o Build financial models to assess returns on capital and impacts to BlackRock’s P&L under various transaction financing scenarios
o Partner with business leaders to determine appropriate transaction consideration, retention and future fundraising assumptions
o Coordinate due diligence and integration planning activities with 20+ teams across the firm, including Finance, HR, Operations and Legal
o Articulate recommendations via 30+ page investment memos to senior leaders

•Attend and report on meetings with investment banking, PE and VC contacts
•Track and report on global M&A events, macroeconomic trends, regulatory developments and other public market information
•Support the planning and execution of transaction integrations and look-backs

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with strong record of academic achievement
•1-2 years of financial services experience; asset management or FIG investment banking experience is preferred, but not required
•Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint required
•Advanced financial statement analysis, valuation and modeling skills strongly preferred
•Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail
•Ability to build and manage relationships with business leaders, corporate functions (e.g., Legal, HR) and external constituents (e.g., investment banking, PE and VC contacts)
•Good judgment and impeccable ethics; desire to succeed and grow in a fast-paced, demanding and entrepreneurial firm
