We’re looking for an experienced Director of Front-End to lead our Web Stack and join our team! Our ideal candidate is technically sound, calm, hard-working, has an eye for detail, plays well with others, and can easily grasp a system which extends over multiple platforms and sites. You'll collaborate closely with our other Tech Stacks/Directors-- back-end, mobile, QA, DevOps -- and product owners to ensure that we're building bug-free, stable, performant apps.
Qualifications:
Experience building web applications
JavaScript proficiency and framework experience
HTML5 & CSS3
Experience with multi-tiered, high traffic web portals
Web services, 3rd party APIs & data exchange formats (XML, JSON, etc.)
Object oriented programming
MV* Architectures, Design Patterns, Data Modeling, Pixel perfect UI mentality
Team Lead experience in both Tech Architecture & Personnel Management
Clear communication skills, written and verbal
Excited about working at a quickly-growing company, with a start-up edge
The following are a big plus:
BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience with using SVG for data visualizations
Know your way around a Linux command line, inc. cloud-hosted solutions
Angular, Ember, React, etc...
NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB, CouchDB, RavenDB, etc.)
Know the differences between, DDD, BDD, TDD and how/when to implement them
Experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructures
Video streaming & processing technology
High Performance & Quality Focused Applications / Products
Have a passion for playing and/or following sports
