Director Competitive Intelligence Hertz Oklahoma City

Facilitate the strategic technical plan through the generation of competitive intelligence insights, built from both internal and external information sources and rigorous analysis of market developments. Build and maintain relationships with the auto industry OEMs to facilitate future partnerships and keep abreast of any actions that may impact the existing or future business model.
Key Result Areas
Define, with cross-functional stakeholder input, critical questions regarding the current and future competitive landscape that must be answered applying both a near-term and long-term lens to assessments
For competitive intelligence agenda, partner with Operations and Marketing to develop broad and diverse information sources to inform insights, including Association, local network, paid and public resources
Proactively identify, evaluate, and monitor products and services launched by existing and emerging competitors in the market, quantifying potential impacts and prioritizing significant moves and events for executive engagement, and “quarterbacking” key information to relevant stakeholders in a timely fashion
Engage with the business to establish efficient mechanisms for incorporating key business insights into the organization’s competitive intelligence perspectives
Establish dissemination mechanisms to ensure competitive intelligence insights are understood and incorporated across the corporation.
Facilitate senior leadership dialog on key competitive intelligence issues, driving discussion to actionable recommendations for the organization.
Align with and inform strategy efforts of the PMO and assess emerging recommendations against existing and emerging competitor activities, including benchmarking of global competitors
For identified competitive threats, draft perspectives on degree, nature, and type of threat, and create process for cross-functional engagement on assessment and solution generation
Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and/or ad hoc reports to senior management and/or the executive team
Other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements:

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Professional Experience:

10 years overall business and IT experience, preferable in the automotive and rental car space. Experience in strategic planning (via industry or consulting roles) and market analysis / competitive intelligence desired.
Knowledge:
Demonstrated knowledge of current industry product offerings.
Demonstrated knowledge of existing Hertz technology and position in the marketplace.
Demonstrated knowledge of emerging technologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
Ability to identify problems, make decisions, create solutions and take action.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and projects in a demanding environment.
Skills:
Strong project management, planning and organizational skills
Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Strong analytical skills, modelling experience preferred
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to act as a team player and partner
Ability to interact with leaders at all levels of the organization, applying discretion as needed
