Director Communications Engagement eCP Expedia Bellevue

The Director of eCP Communications and Engagement will lead a small team to develop and drive eCP’s communication and engagement strategy to increase 3000+ employees’ understanding of the business and build greater employee engagement and empowerment in support of business goals. This will include managing various communication vehicles, supporting high­level executive and HR communications, and coordinating activities supporting internal communications, community, and event programs. This is a highly visible position with the opportunity to fundamentally shape the future of eCP.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute communications strategy to support organizational goals and values and to ensure the effective flow of organizational communication (descending, ascending and horizontal).
Consult and provide direction and expertise for the full scope of eCP communications programs including, but not limited to culture, organizational design, employee engagement, change management
Partners with global team members to leverage communications, change and engagement opportunities and implement enterprise-wide activities.
Collaborate with all levels of the organization. Recommend and implement strategic, practical employee communications and engagement solutions to achieve desired business results.
Job Requirements:
Leadership / Interpersonal / Communication
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Proven ability to influence both C-Suite communications and grassroots campaigns
A diplomatic, relationship builder with strong professional presence and demonstrated ability to influence others
Strong strategic and critical thinking skills; ability to see the “big picture” while also diving into details as necessary
Experience working cross-culturally and cross-functionally, and ability to adapt personal style to different environments
Positive, professional, with the ability to thrive in high­pressure situations and environment
Exceptional project management skills with a voracious get­it­done attitude

Effective decision­making skills; and the ability to choose a course of action among various options involving uncertainty or risk

Experience/Education
Bachelor’s degree in related field
MS in Communications or Organization Development a plus
10+ years formal communications experience, including 6+ years at a large corporation; global company experience preferred
Knowledge of and experience with various off and on­line communications vehicles
Familiarity with best practices in change management and supporting communications
Experience with in an ecommerce environment, is a plus
