Director Client Manager Fiduciary Banking Opus Bank Irvine

The Director, Client Manager will establish new client relationships and play a key role in developing a new deposit portfolio of $10-$50 million dollars annually. The Client Manager is accountable for revenue and increasing profitability for the Portfolio that he/she sponsors.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Attract and grow 1031 exchange deposits and fiduciary deposits by making direct sales calls to an industry mix of Fiduciary Banking, Community Association Management, Property Management, and Titlecompanies;
Establishes deposit and loan pricing within the guidelines of the division and group level;
Responsible for retention and management of relationship profitability;
Responsible for submitting relationships for approval by working jointly with the Senior Director;
Ensures Client Service personnel maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude achieving stated service standards;
Responsible for appropriately structuring credit requests for clients and prospects while working jointly with underwriters and credit analysts to submit a loan package for approval;
Gathers market intelligence so opportunities may be capitalized upon as they occur while minimizing the effects of competitive activity;
Participates in community and business functions and groups to ensure a positive image for the Bank within the designated marketplace;
Responsible for delivering and enhancing the Bank’s competitive strategy of providing exceptional personal attention and building Fiduciary Banking relationships;
Responsible for adherence to all compliance programs, including but not limited to, completion of all required and assigned training modules by established due dates;
Understands and complies with requirements of all laws and regulations applicable to the position;
Implements policies and procedures to comply with fundamental business and credit priorities of the bank;
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:

Fiduciary Banking knowledge: Community Association Management, Property Management, Escrow, Title, and Retention Escrow; 1031 Exchange Deposit knowledge
Demonstrated ability to generate new client relationships, as opposed to assuming an existing portfolio;
Strong sales and industry specific research skills;
Excellent bank product and service knowledge;
Strong marketing and negotiation skills;
Technology proficient;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Knowledge of finance, accounting and analysis of financial statements and tax returns.
Education and/or Experience:

5+ years of commercial banking experience plus a minimum of 3 years of successful experience in Fiduciary Banking and relationship development;
Thorough knowledge of sales, and the financial service needs of large depository relationships;
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, business-related subject or combination of education and directly related experience.
