The Director of Segmentation and Targeting will drive the planning and enablement of a best in class loyalty marketing capability. Drive the thought leadership in segmentation and targeting analytics including multiple methods of identifying customer segments (e.g. response based, cluster, preference) as well as advanced models that are used to inform targeting prioritization, and predictive customer modeling to inform business decisions.
The ideal candidate should have:
Deep experience developing and delivering customer performance metrics: customer loyalty modeling such as segmentation cluster analysis, churn, attrition and propensity models and lifetime value assessments.
Familiarity with third party data sources such as Experian, Axiom or D&B for both individuals and enterprise.
Experience working in a data environment that is large and complex, typically referred to as Big Data.
Preferred familiarity with both individual/end consumer and enterprise/business segmentation schemas.
Required experience in working to mesh analytics results with market research for robust segmentation development.
In addition, the candidate should have experience in cross functional environments, driving change, and excellent communication skills. This is a highly visible and influential role and the ability to communicate effectively to executive and non-technical audiences is crucial.
What you’ll do
Interface regularly with key senior stakeholders across the Adobe organization.
Drive advancement of corporate and business unit customer segmentation – individual, small business and enterprise sectors.
Manage a team of 5-10 plus management of contractors or vendor engagements
Translate organizational goals and objectives to team and individual projects and deliverables
Support Global Marketing Organization and Business Units through multiple analytical disciplines and in partnership with cross functional teams such as IT
Be the domain expert for advanced segmentation and targeting methodology in support of business unit objectives.
Engage with major customers as needed to describe how Adobe uses our Marketing Cloud technology to deliver Marketing Analytics.
What you need to succeed
Minimum 10+ years in one or more areas: customer/loyalty analytics, predictive modeling, econometric modeling; web and database marketing a plus.
Comfort in working in fast moving and iterative-development environments.
A team-player, collaborative, mindset is essential.
Ability to work in Oracle and Hadoop environments
Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation
Experience working globally with multiple constituents
Demonstrated successful track record in building and leading high performing, highly technical and analytical teams and developing individuals.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Experience with Adobe’s Digital Marketing Cloud suite preferred
Master’s degree preferred
