Director Airline Ground Transportation Partnerships American Express New York

This Director will be responsible for contract negotiation and partnership management of airline and ground transportation partners for Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) team.

American Express is one of the world’s largest luxury travel and lifestyle services networks. TLS serves American Express Card Members across 25 markets around the globe so that they can get the most of their Card Membership.
Key responsibilities include:
· Leadership of an experience air and ground transportation organization

· Partner with the Airline Center of Excellence to drive TLS’ air business forward, maximizing existing partnership agreements and constructs for Card Members

· Negotiation of air and ground transportation agreements in partnership GBT including overall distribution agreements and amendments

· Lead all International Airline Program negotiations

· Lead Amex Travel’s Delta Airline Share Gap Program, coordinating across TLS Marketing, TLS Analytics, TLS Operations, ACE and Co-brand to meet contractual goals

· Ongoing revenue analysis by market, providing key regions and segments with recommendations for optimization

· Alignment with internal partners throughout American Express, including the Airline Center of Excellence, Card Products and Services and Global Merchant Services, to ensure that Company objectives are met in TLS partnership negotiations.

· Moderate travel required

In this externally-focused role, the successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the travel industry and have demonstrated an ability to develop external relationships. The successful candidate will have strong data analysis, negotiation and partnership management experience. He/She must demonstrate strong financial acumen with an ability to analyze and synthesize industry trends and the impacts to TLS air and ground transportation businesses.
