The Vice President – Graphic Design, Gartner Research will utilize their leadership and operational excellence to develop and enhance visuals in the world’s leading technology information research company, Gartner, Inc. By defining an innovative strategy to consistently improve the presence and quality of visuals in our content we will be poised to drive scalable and optimized execution, leading to enhanced client experience in both research documents and event presentations. In addition, our successful candidate will:
Raise visibility for the Gartner brand through systematic use of consistent signature graphics and differentiated visual identity.
Lead, develop, and grow a global team of graphic designers.
Partner and collaborate with Global Events, Corporate Marketing, and other internal business units to define and implement cohesive programs to support and guide Gartner’s visual identity.
Create and manage success measurement criteria, including feedback reports and analysis, to drive continuous process improvement.
Provide thought leadership to Gartner’s overall digital strategy.

Qualifications

University degree in graphic design, or related field. Post-graduate degree preferred.
15+ year business experience including 10-12 years in digital design and 10+ years managing and leading teams.
In-depth understanding of the IT Research industry.
Proven ability to define and drive differentiated creative design strategies that improve overall client experience.
Demonstrated track record of successful business analysis, design and management of optimized digital design processes, projects and programs in a complex global workforce environment.
Exceptional digital design background with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Leadership skills with the ability and credibility to own and manage complex global programs of work, gain consensus and ensure successful outcomes, among large, diverse, global groups of constituents, with a broad spectrum of roles and titles, including senior executives.
Thought leadership skills & ability to partner senior management on program development and to lead and advise team members.
Excellent negotiation, influencing, collaboration, verbal communication, writing, and presentation skills required.
Excellent business operations, project management, analytical, needs requirement & organizational skills, IT literacy, numeracy, initiative, problem solving, rigor and attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills.
