As an individual contributor , helps Applied achieve its short and long-term objective. Utilizes highly specialized skills to increase operational efficiencies in support of Applied’s business objectives. Promotions into this level require approval from senior level Executives and/or for the E Band, a governance board or entity.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implementation of methodologies/techniques to enhance product reliability
Functions as consultant to Engineering in Best Known Methods reliable design practices through participation in formal design reviews and engineering meetings.
Build reliability into the designs by proposing improvements based on the analyses and test results.
Functions as leading researcher in state-of -the-art reliability practices. Develops new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product reliability.
Functions as consultant to Engineering in Best Known Methods reliable design practices through participation in formal design reviews and engineering meetings.
Interprets and evaluates experimental results to identify potential failures and aid in design solutions. Participates in technical decisions affecting product systems or subsystems within area of expertise and understands the impact of decisions outside of area of expertise.
Functional Knowledge
Demonstrates a broad and comprehensive understanding of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to a discipline. The role must keep abreast of new developments in order to help define the necessary changes to policy and practice

Utilizes highly specialized skills to expand Applied’s technology footprint or customer base or to increase operational efficiencies in support of Applied’s business objectives
