The candidate will be expected to perform the following tasks:
• Lead, manage, and collaborate on client projects for Pace Global related to the fuels market practice.
• Lead the ongoing analysis and development of Pace Global fuels commodity forecasts and perspective of the market. Drive the ongoing evolution of Pace Global’s MarketLink and MarketView initiatives.
• Develop and capture consulting business opportunities for Pace Global with natural gas and oil producers, energy asset project developers and owners, financial institutions, and other investors.

The idea candidate should have the following attributes:
• Minimum BA/BS in engineering, finance, economics, or related field; MS/MBA or equivalent is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably from an industry and consulting background. Consulting skills are paramount with a focus on writing, methodology, analysis, and structured thinking.
• Solid written, oral, analytical, and presentation skills required.
• Strong knowledge of the energy markets, and power, fuel, and renewable energy infrastructure asset transactions.
• In depth knowledge of the global, as well as domestic North American fuels markets, (to include Natural Gas, Natural Gas Liquids, LNG, Crude Oil)
• Fuels markets supply sourcing, transportation and distribution, pricing terms, contract structures is desirable
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas price drivers (commodity and basis) in both the domestic and international markets
• Ability to work independently, as well as in cross-functional teams in a fast paced environment.
• Energy infrastructure experience is highly desirable
• Prior project management experience and an ability to lead a team in the development of high-quality, client ready deliverables
• Ability to effective work and lead project teams and supporting client interaction.
• Ability to work from the Company’s office in the Washington, DC metro area or the company’s Houston, TX office, with willingness and ability to travel globally for project assignments when necessary.
• Fluent computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Strong client interaction skills
• Additional expertise in the coal markets, including pricing and market fundamentals, if desirable.
