ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions is currently seeking a Permitting Director for our Mount Vernon, IN project site location. Work will initially be performed in the tkIS Denver, CO offices with a transfer to the Indiana site with the construction mobilization team. Our Permitting Director will ensure that all required project permits are identified, obtained, maintained and distributed as required for a new fertilizer plant construction project in Posey County, Indiana.
* Identify all permits required (federal, state, local and regulatory) to proceed with each phase of project construction (access, mobilization ,fencing, earth works, water control, dewatering, extracting river water, piling, foundations, steel erection, scaffolding, inspection requirements and certifications, commissioning and pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, etc.).
* Liaise with and develop a harmonious relationship with appropriate regulatory personnel and client personnel.
* Keep construction management personnel informed of all permits required, the timing required for having permits in place, progress associated with obtaining permits.
* Understand the breakdown between permit responsibilities for the project owner and for those required by tkIS.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in a relevant field.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication and organizational skills.
* High level of attention to details.
* Proven ability to work independently or with limited oversight.
* Ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience working at constructions site locations.
* Significant experience with permitting processes and dealing with regulatory agencies.
