We are looking for leader of leaders who is passionate about building teams and cloud-scale systems from the ground up, and who want to help shape the roadmap for Amazon’s world-class supply chain management systems. As one of the senior leaders on our team, you’ll work closely with our engineering group, research scientists, and our executive team to design and execute your team’s product roadmap to support Amazon's rapidly expanding retail portfolio and merchant portfolio. You will lead efforts to improve your team’s performance and stability, drive recruiting and team building, developing and growing leaders, and help foster Amazon’s developer-oriented culture.
Successful candidates will have an established track record of building and managing large teams to deliver complex distributed software systems, keen technical aptitude, excellent project management skills, solid communication skills, and be driven to achieve results in a fast paced environment.

You will act as a leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You are an experienced software development leader who understands and sets a high bar for all parts of the software development and deployment life cycle, including design, development, documentation, testing and operations. You work hand-in-hand with finance and business leaders. You will be responsible for implementing a product vision while satisfying scalability, reliability, performance, and budget goals. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical ideas in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications
BS in Computer Science with at least 10 years of industry experience.
At least 6 years of experience managing enterprise software engineering teams.
Technically credible to lead a team of world class software engineers and development managers and be able to deliver the right product with a scalable engineering design.
The ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment is critical.
A passion for people management and mentor ship; hiring and developing technical leaders
Able to balance technical leadership with sound business judgment.
Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
