The Director of Online Acquisition will oversee all digital acquisition efforts with a focus on driving customer growth and maximizing Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) for the QuickBooks ecosystem. This is a senior-level and critical position, ultimately responsible for developing and executing the company’s digital growth agenda in terms of customer count, spend and revenue.
This is a hands-on, digital marketing Director role.Specific responsibilities include:
Shaping & driving the Small Business online acquisition strategy; inclusive of PPC, display & video advertising, affiliate marketing strategies, paid social, paid mobile and emerging media
Deliver on 1-year growth goals, by leading through his/her team and partnering cross-channel and cross-functions, and ensuring excellent execution of media strategy and creative development
Building & maintaining key relationships with business & thought leaders from outside media organizations
Recruiting, developing, and coaching a 15 person team including one layer of management, responsible for a $60M worldwide budget
Selecting and managing “best in class” agencies & vendors to drive innovation & growth-generating creative/media campaigns
Playing an active leadership role in internal Digital Marketing communities to share & adopt best practices & innovation across Intuit
Work closely with the channel leaders in SBG Marketing to ensure that we develop and execute truly integrated marketing campaigns that leverage the assets we have across all our prospects, customers, products and channels
Playing a critical role in partnering with the Marketing Technology team to define the roadmap for, and deliver the tools, technologies, and data infrastructure that will enable better targeting, personalization, and decision-making capabilities, across all of our digital channels
Qualifications
Digital Marketing expertise; you are a digital native and expert in paid media who can inspire and lead a team to do the best work of their lives
10+ years of experience in online acquisition (paid search, display advertising and platforms, social media, mobile media marketing); combination of agency and in-house experience strongly desired
Demonstrated ability to execute large-scale digital marketing strategies, including increasing conversions that drive revenue growth, measuring cost per sub and cost per acquisition and a strong understanding of the digital technology landscape
Strategic mind-set, ability to tell a great story and the ability to draw key insights from analytics to make key business decisions
Ability to influence & partner with key internal stakeholder teams: senior leadership, product marketers, marketing channel leaders, analysts, procurement and finance to ensure shared vision and drive initiatives forward
Track record of success in hiring, managing & developing talent to be high-performing and high-committed team
Strong facilitation and influencing skills necessary to drive and lead cross-functional initiatives, and to be effective in a highly matrixed, distributed and fast-moving environment
Learner’s mindset, with drive towards continuous innovation and improvement and a bias for action
