Job Description:
We are looking for a strong leader to build a successful life insurance firm focusing on growing the Asian American Market. You will have the opportunity to recruit, develop and retain successful Agency Managers and Financial Representatives and manage the overall firm operations and budget.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team of multi-cultural experts to help support you in building a successful field operation, establish the AIG Financial Network Brand in the local market and impact the lives of Agency Managers, Financial Representatives, and consumers through achieving financial security.

Performance Objectives:

Effectively organize and plan the recruiting and selection of Financial Representatives to include following systematic processes, defined candidate profile and sourcing plans, multi-step selection process, demonstrated recruiting activity plan and management and the ability to make strong selection decisions in hiring.
Effectively organize and plan the on-boarding and development of Financial Representatives to include structured and documented systems, goal setting and activity management, contract requirements and recognition programs, and deliver effective coaching and performance management processes.
Effectively organize, plan and lead the operations of a growing firm by identifying and develop leadership talent within and outside the firm, develop strategic plans, lead management and administrative personnel to achieve objectives, juggle multiple projects, break complex situations into smaller elements and work independently.
Deliver sales results by understanding, articulating and demonstrating the sales process, be a clear and concise communicator with strong listening skills, motivate people with different ideas and expectations to take action, learn and understand complex and ambiguous concepts, be action oriented, take initiative and work outside of comfort zone, and develop rapport with people at all levels and adapt style to varying needs of others.
Deliver on business and operational results including Financial Management, Technology, Facilities and Equipment and Compliance.

Position Requirements:

The Ideal Candidate should have:

7 to 10 years of progressive Industry Experience with 3 to 5 years of management experience in a Career Life Insurance distribution channel.
Proven track record of success in budget management, recruiting, and developing and retaining successful Financial Representatives.
Track record of accomplishment, leadership and career growth including strong purpose, career focus, desire for achievement and to make an impact on the lives of others, and motivation.
Solid understanding of life insurance, investments and planning techniques with the ability to teach others.
Strong grasp of technology and ability to manage multiple technology systems (planning software, illustration software, online portals, and social media).
Near-native proficiency in one of the following languages: Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese), Korean or Vietnamese and the ability to communicate in English.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work in a compliance driven and high change environment.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university strongly preferred. High level of scholastic achievement with a pattern of continuing education. Industry designations preferred.
FINRA Series 7&24 with little or no history of compliance violations, complaints or arbitrations.
Ability to pass a thorough background check including a credit and criminal check.
