Job Description:
We’re looking for an energetic and creative Head of Marketing Partnerships to develop new programs with entertainment brands, media companies, and celebrities that generate awareness of the Tumblr brand, drive user acquisition, and improve user retention. Can you do all that? Great!
What you’ll do:

Plan and execute a go-to-market strategy for marketing partnerships by promoting our value proposition in the market and differentiating our platform from competitors’.
Develop innovative and creative platforms and programs for media partners.
Find celebrities, media personalities, showrunners, writers, producers, and news outlets who want to work with Tumblr.
Identify the products, programming, and market research we need to strengthen our position in the market. And then make them happen.
Educate the entertainment and media community about our products, and how they work for their industry.
Work with members of the Creatrs team and Marketing on events that span Tumblr, TV, and partner platforms. The Creatrs Network pairs artists in the community with brands and organizations looking for engaging content. (But you already know that.)
Collaborate with greater Marketing team to amplify media partnerships across all channels.
Partner with Business Development, Product, and Sales to construct business terms.
Coordinate with Yahoo’s Media Partnerships team on cross-brand deals.
What you have:

10-15 years of experience in digital and social media. Mobile experience preferred.
Experience with developing and executing creative marketing deals that deliver high ROI.
Passion for Tumblr and an extensive understanding of our features.
In-depth knowledge of the media landscape, Tumblr’s competitive position among social media and mobile app companies, and familiarity with emerging platforms.
Passionate, entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative leader who can work across the marketing, sales, and BD organizations.
BA / BS degree, MBA preferred.
