Job Description:
Spotify is looking for an experienced marketing leader to to join the Global Consumer Marketing team and shape the music experience for millions of customers. The Head of Global Consumer Marketing Strategy & Planning is a newly created position that will drive innovation and the development, communication, and execution of global marketing strategies; lead cross- divisional projects; and create consumer-facing marketing initiatives to support the regional marketing teams.
This candidate must have a proven track record as an innovative thinker that has managed top brands, launched new markets, and led multi platform campaigns. This position will report into the VP Global Consumer Marketing.

What you’ll do

Oversee a team focused on developing large scale global marketing initiatives that drive engagement with Spotify
Oversight of regional programs with an eye towards creating scalable initiatives that can be leveraged across markets
Identify and create strategies that enable regional teams to implement the global brand position with consistency across festivals, sponsorships, and partnerships
Utilize a strategic understanding of consumer behavior to create well-designed marketing plans
Collaborate with and serve as a liaison between content programming and other marketing departments; maintaining an overall understanding of marketing plans across the organization. Other departments include: Artist and Label Relations, Original Content, Product Marketing, Subscription team, Social, Publicity, Partner Marketing and Regional Marketing.
Work closely with the Marketing Sciences team to ensure all campaigns are properly instrumented and key learnings are communicated across the organization
Design tests for new marketing initiatives that drive acquisition and engagement
Management, training and development of direct reports
Who you are

You have experience planning and executing integrated global marketing campaigns
You understand the dynamics of building partnerships for non-traditional marketing and promotion
Proven experience with content marketing
You have a track record of testing and scaling campaigns based on clear business goals, and evidence of success.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills are essential for this highly collaborative position.
Ability to formulate marketing strategies, strategically assess executional options, think creatively and provide detailed follow-through on campaigns
Strong project management skills with the ability to mobilize and lead teams quickly and effectively
Experience working with marketing science analysts and consumer insights specialists to translate data and insights into effective programs.
Experience in briefing and working with a creative team.
A highly organized detail conscious leader with the ability to manage timelines, large teams, executive management and budgets.
College degree, combined with at least 10+ years of international marketing/advertising work experience in one or more of the following areas: entertainment or music marketing, advertising agency, or brand management. MBA preferred.
