Job Description:
Responsible for providing outstanding world-class service to clients, positioning Loews Regency as the preferred luxury provider for transient business, convention and group meetings in New York. Responsible for business in the hotel that yields the highest occupancy and average rate attainable over the maximum desired periods of the week or month, in accordance with the sales and marketing plan, to maximize profits in all revenue producing areas. Responsible for achieving the strategic goals through pricing decisions, reporting, analysis and education. Responsible for the direct management of the Director of Sales, Director of PR, Director of Revenue Management and highly involved in the management and development of the entire sales team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Participate and represent the hotel in organizations as requested to support our Good Neighbor Policy
Development and execution of the hotel marketing plan
Preparation of yearly budgeting and forecasting
Oversee and participate on decisions with rate patterns, determining rates and assisting with group forecasting
Evaluate changes in guest needs, the hotel’s guest mix, and industry and competitive trends to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes to be made to ensure guest and employee satisfaction, and to maintain market dominance and exceptional financial returns
Participate in community affairs which directly or indirectly affect the operations of the hotel
Entertain customers in the hotel in order to further develop their business
Arrange and conduct site inspections with clients and all others deemed as a necessary support to the hotel.
Travel to include support in any areas/specific regions that are deemed necessary
Provides outstanding customer service to clients while they are in the hotel to ensure total guest satisfaction
Maintains contact with client on a regular basis to develop a relationship
Must meet specified monthly/annual booking goals as established during annual budgeting process and work within budgetary guidelines
Works on special projects as assigned by the Managing Director
Conduct sales meetings or any additional meetings deemed necessary
Responsible for training, development, motivation and recognition of the sales team
Responsible for conducting performance appraisals for the Director of Sales, Director of PR and Director of Revenue
Responsible for accurate recording and submittal of department payroll information
Attends all applicable hotel meetings: department, staff, sales as requested or assigned
Assists in building strong relations with other hotel departments, employees, and outside agencies and vendors
Interact with all levels of staff, ranging from Board of Directors and other high level executives to hourly employees emphasizing the importance of guest/employee relations
Actively takes ownership in overall hotel objectives
Other duties as assigned

Recycles whenever possible
Remains current with hotel information and changes
Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards
Required Skills & Experience:

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

Required:

Experience operating in a high volume group house. Experience in a 300+ rooms hotel is preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Outstanding presentation skills, both oral and written presentation
Highly analytical, creative problem solver and strong leadership skills
Thorough knowledge and understanding of hotel operations
Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Qualification Standards

Education: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field

Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in the luxury market segment. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in marketing and revenue management
