Job Description:
A seasoned Director Product Management to lead a team that drives the overall product strategy and roadmap for Immersion’s tactile feedback solutions. This highly visible position will be responsible for the entire life cycle of Immersion solutions: from product definition through their development and go-to-market activities. The position manages and leads the product management team with responsibility for all Immersion software solutions targeting mobile devices, gaming devices, automotive, wearables, on-line entertainment, chat, and advertising businesses.
What you’ll do:
Drive the strategic vision for products and develop and manage multi-year product road map. Champion new product initiatives.
Maintain deep understanding of market requirements.
Interact with customers and sales/FAE team in gathering the requirements and promoting the products.
Work closely with engineering, R&D, UX to define, develop and deliver new products.
Develop and implement product planning processes and methodologies for efficient definition, development, and launch of Immersion solutions.
Direct and develop a high-performance team of product managers who are responsible for multiple products/product lines.
Define and execute go-to-market plans for each product line, including positioning, messaging, sales support collateral and sales tools.
About you:
10+ years technology product management experience in related sectors
5+ years of product management leadership experience in planning, developing and launching embedded software products
Possesses an outstanding track record of success in delivering new products
High level strategic thinking to develop strategies and plans to achieve organizational goals
Solid reputation as a thought leader and excellent communicator of product vision
Strong interpersonal and communication/presentation skills; excellent listening and negotiation skills
Self-starter, hands on and passionate about your work
Team player who also knows how to make things happen
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, including influencing at executive level
Significant mobile device and software experience. Experience in consumer electronics, and automotive markets preferred
Knowledgeable about user experience, preferably familiar with haptics and touch interaction
Experience with technology licensing business models
Experience in Agile development environment highly desirable
BS required, MBA strongly preferred
Must be willing to travel up to 35% of the time.
