Position Overview

At Xaxis, the North America Marketing Director will collaborate with a group of quick witted, humorous, and extremely dedicated coworkers and clients whom are all passionate about digital media. The Marketing Director will lead all marketing initiatives for the North America market, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and Montreal. This includes but is not limited to event sponsorship organization, content marketing, sales enablement, social media strategy, PR, and communications. The Marketing Director works closely with the global team to strengthen and expand Xaxis’ brand influence in the ad tech arena, support its transition to a portfolio of the industry’s most ambitious product brands (including Light Reaction, plista, etc.), and rapidly scale new businesses in the region. This position will have a seat on the board of directors and executives within the North America team and play a key part in charting the strategic path of the organization, assuring its accountability to all constituencies and ensuring its effective operation.

The Marketing Director should be passionate about advertising technology and will help continue to innovate and communicate the value of data informed media. This individual should be eager to contribute and adhere to the Xaxis best practices of programmatic marketing. The set of skills we are seeking for the marketing director include an exceptional ability to strategize and create the storyboard and ‘look and feel’ of go-to-market collateral, pitches, educational materials, industry thought pieces and day-to-day brand messages. This role offers the benefit of diving into myriad Xaxis leading experts and data and technology offerings across all aspects of new media including mobile, video, connected TV, programmatic TV, display, radio, digital-out-of-home and even search. Additionally, this role requires an individual that is high-energy, hyper-organized, team driven, with superior multi-tasking skills. It is also important that this person is comfortable interacting with senior executives regularly.

Responsibilities

Play a key role in Xaxis’ growth in North America through effective brand building and lead generation activities.
Lead all marketing initiatives for the Americas regions including, but not limited to event sponsorship organization, event activations, client presentations, content marketing, sales enablement, social media strategy, PR, and communications.
Provide support for account teams and sales staff in development of lead generating sales collateral and presentations.
Work with key marketing counterparts to ensure articulation of Xaxis desired brand image and position, assure consistent communication of image and market position throughout the organization, and assure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
Collaborate with global PR and communications team for North America press initiatives as appropriate.
Think strategically and have strong working knowledge of the ad tech marketplace, while actively identifying and understanding emerging trends, opportunities and partnerships to give our sales teams and marketing messages a competitive edge.
Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the North American marketing program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
Qualifications

Minimum of 4-5 years of professional experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in ad tech and media agency space.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, MA is a plus.
Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.
Experience developing and managing budgets.
Experience of at least 2 years managing teams and hiring, training, developing and appraising personnel.
Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment; strong attention to detail.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work within cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, InDesign.
Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other design programs.
