Job Description:
The Gap Factory Online Marketing Director will be responsible for developing strategy and driving business. Strategic thinking, drive for results, and strong leadership are key for ensuring success in this role. This role will report to the Senior Director of Marketing, Gap Online International.
Key Job Responsibilities
Business and Strategy
Drive online traffic and sales through site, email, promotions, and digital marketing. Ensure marketing plans meet business objectives and build the Factory brand.
Develop online seasonal marketing calendar that delivers on forecast as well represent store/brand experience.
Work closely with store brand marketing team to ensure an easy, cross-channel shopping experience. Develop strategy/POV around cross-channel email, promo, and messaging alignment. Identify opportunities to encourage multi-channel behavior and create synergies across marketing vehicles.
Define Factory value positioning online and create framework for both differentiating and partnering with specialty online.
Develop acquisition plans to grow the customer base and raise awareness of Factory online.
Lead growth strategy with deep understanding of outlet marketplace, customers, and trends. Identify and prioritize short term wins to drive growth this year vs. longer term.
Refine reporting and hindsighting for data driven decision making. Own presentation of key learnings and opportunities to the Leadership Team.
Leadership
Build a high-performing team. Develop clear goals and set priorities. Define roles and responsibilities as well as scalable processes.
Lead and inspire all teams involved in Gap Factory Online through sharing business context, financial objectives, and customer and performance insights.
Influence and negotiate with cross-functional partners for support in an environment where bandwidth and resource may not be available.
Communicate persuasively and present effectively in a variety of presentation settings (one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, cross-functional partners and leadership).
Qualifications
Strong drive for results. Understand what’s impactful and critical. Pushes to meet and exceed goals.
Track record of solid strategic thinking. Has broad perspective and can anticipate future consequences and trends.
Strong decision quality and problem solving. Excellent at analysis and breaking down complex problems.
Extensive experience in building effective cross-functional relationships.
Must be adept at dealing with ambiguity and be comfortable working in new, undefined areas.
Proven leadership and people management skills. Track record of effectively inspiring business partners, getting work done through others, and managing a high-performance team.
Background in retail/fashion industry, ecommerce preferred.
10 years of marketing or relevant experience.
5 years’ experience managing managers.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Omniture and CRM experience a plus.
