In this role, you will:
Drive our product capabilities, our development processes, and our profile in the Information Security community, establishing and cementing Pegasystems’, and your own, reputation as a trusted provider of secure software
Drive product security as a crucial deliverable for all Pegasystems’ development organizations
Through your SDL, you will ensure that Pegasystems builds secure software by focusing on the design and implementation process, eliminating security defects before they can happen
Lead the team that will successfully deliver required security features for our customers’ Pega 7 applications
Partner with others in the security space (Pega Cloud security, IT security, and Pega Consulting) to ensure that our security features fit coherently into our overall security strategy for the company and all products

The Person:
We seek a visionary, accomplished software security leader who will drive Pegasystems to become the company businesses trust when building applications that manage sensitive and mission critical data. You combine success in secure software development, change management, and customer relationship management. On your watch, Information Security becomes not just a positive competitive differentiator for Pegasystems, but a key reason our customers choose our software.
Qualifications will include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Demonstrable success in software product management and/or software engineering management
Deep expertise in software security, including
Threat protection (OWASP TOP 10’s, botnets, malware, etc.)
Authentication and authorization technology
Browser, email, and mobile OS security
Security development lifecycle and practices
Security assurance and compliance certifications
Information Security incident management, including internal and external communication, and managed, rapid response
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including poise in pressure situations
Experience driving organizational change
Experience managing or delivering product and/or projects to large-scale enterprises (Global 2000)
