Job Description:
As Director of Client Engagement Strategy, B2B Marketing, you will lead a team that drives the vision, goals, strategy, content and evaluation of AOL’s client engagements at both industry conferences (tentpoles) and AOL-curated proprietary events. You are a seasoned B2B marketer and planning expert who understands how to manage client and brand activations with marketers, agencies and publishers to demonstrate AOL’s leadership and innovation. You are a proficient leader who has deep experience in the tech/digital space and is adept at influencing executives, internal stakeholders and external partners.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of marketers who oversee tentpole management, proprietary program development and client engagement communications
Supervise end-to-end content strategy and execution for all tentpole and proprietary events, including establishing the broader content narrative and define its articulation across yearly client engagements.
Act as primary liaison with Product Marketing teams and work with them to establish broader strategic priorities
Manage development and execution of internal and external communications for theextended Client Engagement team
Oversee AOL speaker bureau, including ideation and pitch development, for all tentpole and proprietary events
Lead competitive analysis and measurement of engagement including business impact, client and internal feedback
Desired Skills and Experience
Seasoned marketing leader with a minimum of 10-15 years in tech, digital and/or mobile
Experience in managing high energy teams and demonstrated managerial excellence
Proven track record of results, demonstrated accountability for achieving individual and shared goals
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with numerous partners and vendors
Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills, including owning communication with senior executive leadership and seller community
High comfort level working across markets, cultures and time zones as part of a global marketing organization
Willingness to travel 30%-40%
Superior business sense, problem solving, analytical skills
MBA a plus
