This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, IN for a Director, Global Cybersecurity Engineering.
Thinking Beyond Your Desk Includes


Direct the strategic definition, design, and implementation of the next generation cybersecurity technologies and infrastructure protecting Cummins global and regional networks, systems, and data
Lead the cross functional teams including vendor partners to deliver on the global cybersecurity technical strategy while also supporting and improving the current global cybersecurity infrastructure
Recruit and develop the resource capability required to execute the technology strategy across all of Cummins global and regional IT infrastructure. Manage and develop a team of direct reports providing cybersecurity support directly to business units, ABOs, regions and other company organizations
Influence/motivate business resources in the development and execution of projects required to accomplish the global cybersecurity technology strategy
Work with IT Directors in adjacent organizations, including ABOs to plan and establish priorities, drive the adoption of cybersecurity best practices and optimal use of IT resources for the greatest security benefit to the business
Communicate and enforce Cybersecurity standards which align with and are appropriate for the business needs, data sensitivity, regulatory and compliance requirements in support of Cummins’ IT Transformation and Cybersecurity Goals
Counsel executive management with focused and creative cybersecurity solutions based on expert knowledge of emerging industry standards and technologies which can be applied in the accomplishment of the business’s yearly goal tree and global cybersecurity strategy
Mentor, support, and counsel the teams executing cybersecurity projects in breaking organizational barriers limiting an effective cybersecurity posture
Manage the execution of the annual departmental budget. The budget would include both managed expense and capital

Our Ideal Candidate Would Have These Skills And Professional Experience


Must have expert experience in all facets of cybersecurity technologies, typically gained from an increasing responsibility and exposure to advanced technologies in the cybersecurity field and a strong passion to leverage that experience and knowledge to be a true business and technology partner
The position requires a proven experienced leader who possesses 10+ years of cybersecurity experience ideally with organizations at the leading edge of cybersecurity operational capabilities focused on detecting and responding to the advanced threats attacking organizations’ technology infrastructures in attempts to disrupt, damage or delay business operations or steal intellectual property
Business savvy is required to quickly understand the business context of the systems and infrastructures required to deliver IT and cybersecurity services in support of the business in a secure and efficient manner
The candidate will have gained this experience ideally within a highly targeted industry facing advanced threats across the whole of the technology spectrum from low-level technical attacks to malicious insider activity
The ideal candidate must have a successful track record of operating as a strategic and client-focused cybersecurity leader with a strong business -partner orientation
He/she will possess the vision and skill to link business goals with enabling cybersecurity strategies while simultaneously managing thru complex business issues and competing priorities. Candidate must also possess proven people management/leadership experience with both direct and functional reports
The ideal candidate must possess a proven competency in motivating and effectively leading and attracting and retaining talent in a highly competitive business landscape

Compensation. Base salary commensurate with experience plus bonus. Benefits.
