Lead Instructional Technology Services planning and delivery of enterprise and innovation technology tools and services which support faculty and students in meeting their teaching and learning goals. Identify and foster strategic and operational relationships across NYU schools and sites to create new opportunities for technology enhanced education. Collaborate with internal and external partners engaged in supporting global and innovative instructional technology initiatives to experiment, evaluate, and transition innovative services to enterprise services in order to broaden and advance teaching and learning with technology.
Manage budgeting, staffing activities and vendor relationships, participate in short and long range planning. Lead new service implementations and service improvement initiatives. Participate on the TLT Leadership Team, and maintain global and campus-wide relationships to guide the evolution of the University's academic technologies.
Desired Skills and Experience
7 years' progressively responsible professional experience in an information technology environment including at least 5 years' experience with managing academic, instructional and research services, strategic planning, complex project management, budget analysis and staff supervision in a client-centered service organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a higher education environment. Experience with service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL). Instructional design and pedagogy strategies and/or a scholarship and research methodologies background. Experience supervising a team that supports technology services including: negotiating enterprise-wide contracts and supports for academic technology tools, experience with online and hybrid learning services; Experience with emerging support and product development cycles such as agile and rapid prototyping development.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to develop organizational goals and strategies; good relationship management skills. Ability to deliver projects of great complexity, on time and within budget.
