The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing prompt closing of books, strategic planning, business/financial/metrics analysis, modeling, forecasting and budgeting, to adequately meet and support the financial needs of the organization and its constituents.
Leads and supports in prompt closing of books on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis (provides analysis of all variances)
Leads all treasury functions including cash flow projections (monthly, 13 week cash flow preparation, and long-term)
Owner of the company’s financial model and developer of models to assess the viability of new stores/initiatives
Leads all regular financial and non-financial KPI/metrics reporting to both internal stakeholders (stores, e-commerce, wholesale departments, etc.) and external stake holders (the senior management team and board)
Provides thought-leadership on appropriate KPI/metrics to measure and conveys to the organization how the company is trending toward them as well as education around why they are pertinent
Leads annual budget planning and works with senior management to ensure the plan and financing thereof match the corporate strategy
Provides budgeting expertise and oversight to other business unit leaders and the overall corporation
Leads and produces home-grown open-to-buy
Leads process development (both within and outside of the finance team) to improve timeliness, relevance, and accuracy of financial metrics, reporting and KPI’s
Represents the finance department to ensure that all company initiatives can be effectively and most importantly efficiently measured
Follows company policies, upholds professional standards, and performs all work in a manner respectful of others
Provides financial counsel to business area leaders
Fosters the internal reputation of the finance team as being the go-to advisors as to provision of business intelligence
Leads effective cost control, develops and maintains effective cost control policies
Manages risk mitigation policies
Interacts with all financial and tax auditors
Works with General Managers and support teams to consistently strive for efficiencies in all support functions, while maintaining exemplary levels of customer service
Helps with analysis of processes to achieve desired results
Influence General Managers’ decision making capabilities through focus on key reports and metrics
Encourages strategic thought on important initiatives, and business drivers
Performs other responsibilities as needed

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Exemplary Excel skills
Minimum 7 years accounting/finance experience; combination of public and private experience preferred. Clear path of increasing responsibility should be demonstrable.
Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects of complex scope
Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, persuade and collaborate with business leaders, franchise owners and government representatives
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting/finance concepts, principles, procedures, regulations and reporting requirements
Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to achieve results through others
Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and enforces and upholds all company policies
CPA preferred
Netsuite experience preferred
