As the Director of Engineering for CAM, you will head the engineering efforts to build, deploy, and scale our CAM software across multiple platforms. The position will over-see frontend development, back-end development and work extensively with offshore teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for the eventual build-out and ramp-up of additional developers across our main office, and to expand the engineering team into multiple coverage areas. As a head of engineering, you will also interface heavily with the product team and hardware teams for coordination of rollouts and releases.
Key Responsibilities
Frontend, backend, app development and development ops to meet product and business requirements.
Maintain responsibility to develop our high-profile web, desktop, and mobile application stack.
Design and code new application features and functionality, writing API’s, scalability, and maintainability improvements.
Work with product and business team to develop clear time lines and manage the organization to meet deliverables.
Oversee and manage offshore teams.
Build, hire, and mentor new engineers.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in software engineering
4+ years in engineering leadership capacity
Strong experience and knowledge of the full software stack
Must be able to gather requirements and manage the team to design, code and test independently before product releases
Develop, maintain and optimize secure and scalable multi-tier applications
Lead CAM engineering organization
Location
This position can be filled in the City of Industry, CA, or San Francisco, CA, office.
