Director Business Development Kaleidoscope ® New York City

Job Description:
Kaleidoscope is seeking a passionate, energetic and highly motivated individual to build and lead our Design Realization Business Development strategy in the New York City area. As a Director Business Development, you will be required to prospect, qualify and develop new opportunities for our Realization business disciplines with the needs of our existing and future clients. You must be able to connect the dots between design intent and creative execution while delivering on business objectives via mockups, color exploration, prototyping and implementation.

have a passion for creativity. You are a natural storyteller and able to navigate conversations or opportunities that may require a focus on Insights & Innovation, Brand Strategy or Brand & Packaging Design disciplines. The candidate will be required to evaluate the best teams and methodologies to assemble in order to achieve our clients’ objectives.

Core Responsibilities
Articulate the Kaleidoscope story, disciplines, culture and our unique point of difference in the New York area and surrounding markets
Develop a strategic business plan for mining new and building existing Realization business relationships
Identify, develop, define, write and negotiate proposals, and close new opportunities
Deliver on 6 revenue and business goals identified by the Executive Leadership Team
Protect our organization's value by delivering on our brand promise and delivering excellence at every touch point (from client engagement, to final deliverables, to building long term relationships)
Network and participate in relevant trade shows and industry events
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the packaging design industry; Account Management, Design, or Business Development experience, a plus
3+ years of experience in sales forecasting and planning, managing and growing $1MM+ business
Strong interest and working knowledge of the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Design
Ability to assess new business opportunities from market trends
Proven success in prospecting and qualifying leads that have resulted in new business
Excellent in building, fostering, and growing client relationships, presentation skills, and anticipating customer needs
Education
Bachelor’s degree required
A focus on Marketing, Packaging Design, Print, a plus
