Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for results oriented individual to lead the Flash control tower. The control tower has the responsibility for electronically receiving, processing and managing all outbound shipments worldwide. This includes the responsibility to ensure warehouse locations and carriers around the globe pull and deliver shipments within 90 minutes, 2 hours, 4 hours and beyond. This position reports directly to the COO. The primary control tower is located in Montville with 4 regional control towers around the globe.
Desired Skills & Experience
Oversee the daily operations of outbound order processing – team of approximately 40 people in Montville, NJ.
Standardize and improve operations across regional control towers – Brazil, Japan, Amsterdam, and Russia and other locations in the future.
Set direction and lead all control tower operations listed above
Participate in and lead cross functional teams to design and implement new customers and capabilities.
Ensure control tower team has the knowledge, resources and tools to carry out their roles effectively and efficiently.
Execute change – pushing constant improvement and metric management of the team and demonstrate that you are a change agent.
Address, resolve and implement long term corrective actions to maintain operational order quality and speed.
Resolve escalated customer issues and support/train team to resolve escalations.
Appropriately address human resources issues directly and with the support of the HR team.
Manage and participate in the agent/supervisor/manager recruitment process when needed.
Ensure customer satisfaction - call quality monitoring, process improvements, involvement in customer meetings and providing feedback to the team and to peers.
Monitor and design further standards of performance to manage the outbound order process.
Requirements:
Required:
6+ years of progressive experience in operations roles within logistics, supply chain management or similar field with at least 4 years managing direct reports.
Management experience within a call center, order processing team or similar group.
Bachelor degree (business or logistics preferred).
Excellent coaching skills.
Experience designing and preparing standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Well versed with systems technology – MS Visio, MS Project, MS Office in general.
Wants to be constantly challenged, is motivated by ongoing learning and applying new knowledge.
Experience managing against a budget including making staffing decisions.
Change management experience.
Preferred:
Green or black belt in Six Sigma (if not already certified you will complete your green belt training upon being hired)
Logistics experience in the Mission Critical Parts Industry.
