Director Digital Commerce Development David Yurman New York City

Job Description:
David Yurman is currently seeking a seasoned technology executive to join its Digital team. The Director of Digital Commerce Development is an essential, new position within the company. He / she will serve as a respected leader across the Digital team and the David Yurman organization; ensuring effective communication and alignment across all cross-functional teams and external partners. He / she will be responsible for overseeing ongoing site production releases, effectively releasing new feature and functions and developing sound processes that ensure that business and technical requirements are effectively met.
Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage the following responsibilities:

Business Analysis: Document, communicate, and review requirements and acceptance criteria with project team members and sponsors. Lead requirements, discovery and design sessions, working with business and technology teams.
Process Development: Evolve processes to ensure accurate delivery while maximizing the value of the digital platform. Based on multiple factors within the organization, determine which processes should be maintained or altered based on changing business conditions. Strive to increase throughput of the digital technology team without putting the business at risk. Advocate agile best practices across the organization.
Training and Communication: Interface and grow advocacy with executive management, business leads, internal and external partners. Analyze problems from a top down and bottoms up approach and implement efficient solutions. Build relationships with external partners and internal IT teams to ensure delivery and uptime of digital environment.
Problem Solving: Ability to process and solve both short term and long term digital challenges through both a management and hands-on approach. Think critically about the situation at present and make a tactical or strategic decision based on the impact to Digital and the business as a whole. Work with multiple groups including third parties and offshore teams to solve challenges faced by the business due to technology factors.
Operational oversight: Ensure high quality delivery on projects identified by the business and product management team. Effectively communicate status and roadblocks in an accurate and timely fashion. Troubleshoot reported digital issues and engage appropriate parties as necessary during those times. Lead resolution, diagnosis, and communication during high severity situations.
Implementation Planning: Contribute to the development of digital product roadmaps, release and implementation plans.
Digital Development and Maintenance: Support application development, web operations, user experience, integration and testing teams across all areas to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget. Collaborate with the Senior Director, Technology on the daily management and oversight of the DY tech platform.
Innovation: Help guide the overall digital strategy and tactical plan, including the development of mobile solutions, global expansion, CRM integrations and other services. Be a subject matter expert for emerging digital technologies.
Fiscal Support: Collaborate with team members on the creation and management of budget and help negotiate contracts with external partners.


Qualifications

The successful Director, Digital Commerce Development will have demonstrated, related experience with a well-respected brand(s). David Yurman would prefer that this Director have experience in the apparel, fashion or luxury goods environment.

He / she must also have exceptional communication, interpersonal and consensus building skills with the ability to distill complex ideas and summarize important points quickly and effectively
